The new album “Debris” will be out end 2011!

Old Amica is a two man band from Sweden, one part Stockholm and one part Umeå, creating music using the mighty powers of the internet.
They met in high school in Boden whilst studying music together, but their story began somewhere else. After attending a great Ryan Adams concert in Stockholm together, described by a reviewer as “Purely horrifying”, the idea of a band started to form.
As the years passed they wrote some songs but the fact that they also moved around in Sweden separately didn’t help the continuity. For a while they both lived in Stockholm and started making their first recordings, but relocation had the final word and suddenly 650km kept them from playing together. However, when both made home studio situations available the distance became irrelevant.
In the early 2010 they put together their first EP containing 5 songs and just getting it done made them so happy they forgot to tell people about it. As they realized this they had already started working on new songs. Now, a couple of months later, they’ve finished “For a Second EP”, and it’s time to tell somebody about it.

The “For a Second EP” will be released on Knoppar early spring.

Debutsingeln Let´s Not Tell Our Sad Stories släpptes på Dolores Recordings singelklubb våren 2005. Nu blåser tyska Knoppar nytt liv i den genom en lansering på Spotify, iTunes, etc. Detsamma gäller EP:n Day Before May som gavs ut av Little Hill Recordings ett år senare. I samma veva  släpper bolaget även helt nya EP:n L´antidote derinère, innehållande sex låtar och utöver det en ny singel vid namn Forest Fire. Med på Hospitalle´s nya EP L´antidote derinère hittar man även göteborgaren Martin Elisson (Hästpojken) som gästar med en körinsats på låten These Screwed Up Times. -Några veckor efter att jag spelat in en av mina första låtar under namnet Hospitalle ringde Isse från Dolores Recordings och ville ge ut den på Singelklubben. Allt gick väldigt fort och var väldigt roligt. När Little Hill Recordings ett år senare släppte EP:n Day Before May, producerad av Kalle von Hall i Bad Cash Quartet skrevs det mycket om oss i såväl dagspress som kvällspress och månadspress. Helt plötsligt blev jag kontaktad av både Island Records (UK) och EMI som visade stort intresse. Allt såg mycket lovande ut och tanken var att släppa fullängdaren Forest Fire. Efter långdragna maildiskussioner fick jag dock erfara den fula och trista sidan av branschen och lade allt på hyllan, frustrerad och helt utan glöd. Jag stack kort därefter till släkt i San Francisco och kom hem efter ett par månader med nya låtar, denna gången med svenska texter som födde mitt andra band Pats. 2009 släppte Bonjour Recordings vårt debutalbum Nevadaflickan som på något sätt blev en revansch för allt tidigare slit utan resultat. Jag har på senare tid insett min kärlek till det engelska språket när det gäller textskrivande och för ett tag sedan skrev jag på ett kontrakt för det lilla tyska bolaget Knoppar som innebär att mina tidigare grejer med Hospitalle lanseras på nytt, samtidigt som de släpper en ny EP och en ny singel. Jag är mycket glad att berätta att Hospitalle därmed har släppts av det tredje bolaget hittills; Knoppar. I nuläget jobbar jag på ett andra album med Pats. Därefter blir det återigen fokus på nya inspelningar med Hospitalle.
